Desperate Housewives

Why couldn't I not stop laughing when Carolyn shot Nora? It was so shocking...I was literally stunned...into laughter! And then she hit Lynette with: "I think what you're looking for is 'Thank you.'" Yes indeed...thank you and goodnight to Nora. She was annoying anyway, so there's no love lost there, and it was inevitable that Kayla was going to join the Scavo brood.

Desperate Housewives is so touch-and-go. You can get a great episode like this one, or the first two of this season, and then have a run of very bad episodes. I wish it were more consistent, then I'd tune in every Sunday, rather than relying on sweeps buzz to draw me back in.

There were some very funny moments in last night's big "bang" episode. Here are my top 3:

1. All the neighbors came over to Bree's house to watch the live TV coverage. One woman says to another: "I knew she'd have food."

2. Lynette tells Tom that he should take Nora to court for full custody of Kayla. Tom: "I never thought you'd want a fifth kid." Lynette: "I don't. But I didn't want the first four, and they're starting to grow on me."

3. The fact that Susan had no idea Carolyn was the woman holding people hostage. Susan: "There's a crazy woman in there." Carolyn (as she showed Susan her gun): "Yeah, I know."

I really could have done without Carlos and Gabby calling a truce to their bickering. I like them better when they're fighting.
